Moondane is an expense tracker for iPhone. You enter what you spend. Moondane shows you where the month went. It asks you for nothing else.

There is no bank sync, and there will not be one. You enter each expense yourself, in about ten seconds. That attention is what gives the month-end number its meaning. It is also why Moondane never needs your bank login.
Set one for any category, for a month, a quarter or a year. Moondane warns you before you reach the limit, while you can still change something.
The monthly breakdown shows which categories take most of your money. It also compares this month with your own twelve-month average. So you can see the difference between a bad week and a habit.
A widget shows today's spending and this month's total. Most days you do not need to open the app.
Every recurring payment is in one list. That includes the streaming service you stopped watching in March and still pay for.
Your transactions stay on your iPhone. They sync only through your own iCloud, with Apple's encryption. They do not use your iCloud storage quota. No Moondane server has your data. The app also works with no network.
The app sends anonymous usage events to our own analytics server in the EU, for example which screens you open. They contain no personal data and no financial data. Nothing in them identifies you or your money.
Expense entry, the monthly breakdown, widgets, iCloud sync, and CSV import and export are free. Budgets, tags and the recurring view come with Premium.
